JHU School of Medicine 125th Anniversary
The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine 125th Anniversary Logo was carefully crafted to combine the historic and the contemporary in order to honor all 125 years of medical education and innovation. By incorporating the iconic shield with a contemporary background image, the logo emulates the celebration’s tagline: Where Tradition Meets Innovation. The numbers, framed by fluid strokes, follow an upward movement to reflect the School of Medicine's commitment to continued improvement, innovation, and excellence. Meanwhile, the shield is patterned with a composite image of a DNA sequence and the repeated structure of epinephrine – the latter discovered at the School of Medicine – thereby recognizing the school's historic success in contributing to the understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
Sixteen street banners were created to be displayed throughout the duration of the anniversary. Each banner features figures who were fundamental to School of Medicine’s history.
MWA Water Quality Report
The Musconetcong Watershed Association (MWA) publishes an annual Watershed Report Card, which informs the public about the quality of the watershed. With complicated graphs and scientific terminology, the MWA found that the report wasn't accessible to the general public, which we aimed to address. For the redesign, we carefully developed icon sets for each piece of criteria within the grading system (i.e. Nitrate Level, Water Temperature, Aquatic Life, and Habitat, and Water Clarity and Phosphorous levels). These icon sets not only reflect the grade, but also what that grade indicates in the real world. For example, the icon system for Nitrate levels shows a glass of water becoming clearer, since Nitrate levels affect whether water is drinkable or not. The report itself has a simple layout so that the MWA can use this as a template for future reports.

Maryland EV is a non-profit that works to educate the public about electric vehicles. During my internship with Maryland EV, I created promotional materials that were distributed at Baltimore's Artscape. These materials included t-shirts, bumper stickers, lasercut business cards, and origami cars. Maryland EV worked with Voltride, an electric bike rental company, to showcase their electric bike to Artscape. For the event, I designed a vehicle wrap for this electric bike. In addition to promotional materials, I also worked with the team of interns to redesign their logo and website.
